We desire to move from the Sunday morning experience, sitting in pews, to engaging our faith in the church and beyond.
Fantastic Friday Games Nights
Fourth Friday of the month at 7 pm. Come and join us for an evening of board games, puzzles, birthday wishes and gym activities. Please bring a snack to share and your favourite board game, table hockey game, puzzle or crokinole board. April 25th is our next games night!
Parent/Child Playgroup
Join us for a FREE weekly drop-in playgroup! Fridays, 9:30 to 11 am! This is a chance to build connection and community with other caregivers and children. Intended for caregivers and children aged infant to preschool. Everyone is welcome! No affiliation with a church is required. All genders, sexual orientations, and races are welcome in this space. All playgroup areas are chestfeeding friendly. There is also a private space available for feeding if this is your preference.
Snacks, coffee and tea will be provided free of charge. Several toys are also provided.
Community Bible Study
This program will continue on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am. New people are always welcome. Please contact the office for more information.
Pickleball at Shantz
Community pickleball – 6:30 to 9:30 pm Tuesday night, and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 12 noon.
Beginner Pickleball – Wednesdays 7 to 9 pm
Please enter via the back doors. Donation of $3 requested.
Kids Club
Kids Club is for children aged Kindergarten to Grade 6. Your child will participate in bible stories, crafts, games, music and much more! It is a great opportunity to learn about faith, make friends, learn crafts and enjoy pizza and a drink. Once a month on Saturdays from 4 pm to 5:45 pm. Meeting dates are Nov. 9, Dec. 14, Jan. 11, Feb. 8, Mar. 8, April 12, May 10, June 14.
Junior and Senior Youth Groups
We have active youth groups that meet once a month on a Saturday evening. Food, games, devotional times, service projects are all part of the many events. Please contact the church office for more information.
Vacation Bible Camp (JK completed to Grade 8)
In collaboration with Steinmann Mennonite Church, we here at Shantz are getting ready for a rip-roaring good time with Jesus this summer at our Southwest Roundup Vacation Bible camp, and registration is now available online! Camp will run July 14th-18th, 2025 from 9 am – 12 pm for campers grades JK-Grade 8.
